help

getting started with autonomAS.net:

1. join the waitlist

autonomAS.net is in preview. join the waitlist and we
invite you when a beta slot is free.

during the beta, we provide:
- asn: private (auto-assigned, 4200000000-4294967294)
- ipv6 prefix: PA (/48 from our block)

public asn, pi (provider independent) prefixes and single ipv4
addresses are not available during the beta. we plan them for later.

2. configure your tunnel

we provide an ipv6 unnumbered peering session delivering both ipv4
and ipv6 connectivity tunneled over your existing internet connection.

authentication/rendezvous options:
- ike (ipsec): secure key exchange
- dynamic dns (ddns): for dynamic ip addresses
- static: planned

tunnel types:
- gre tunnel (unencrypted)
- ipsec gre tunnel (encrypted)
- sit (ip in ipv4): planned
- ip6tnl (ip in ipv6): planned

when you get your slot, you receive:
- tunnel endpoint configuration
- bgp session parameters
- authentication credentials (if using ike)
- ddns update url (if using ddns)

3. establish bgp session

configure your router to:
- establish the tunnel to our endpoint
- configure bgp peering session
- announce your allocated ipv6 /48 prefix

we announce:
- default route (0.0.0.0/0 and ::/0)
- full routing table (optional, on request)

4. test connectivity

verify your setup:
- tunnel is up and stable
- bgp session is established
- routes are being exchanged
- ipv6 connectivity works
- ipv4 connectivity works

important policies

please review:
- terms of service: your obligations and our terms
- fair use policy: bandwidth and usage limits
- code of conduct: acceptable behavior

during beta, we maintain all necessary irr and rpki records on your
behalf. no additional configuration required.
